Using the @font-face rule lets web developers use fonts that not all users have installed, by simply offering the font as a download.
Watching this page load for the first time really excites the super-nerd in me.
Edit: pressing shift while hitting the reload button forces Firefox to manually reload the page, so you can watch as it loads the fonts again!
